Parents’ Consultation Evenings

Parents’ consultations will take place on Tuesday 10th and Wednesday 11th November from 3.40pm – 7.00pm. We hope that all parents will make an appointment to attend on one of these evenings.

Please indicate below the times which would be convenient. Forms should be returned by Thursday 22nd October so that appointments can be arranged and these will be returned after half term. Mrs. Smith will be holding her parents’ evening later in November and we will let you know when that is.

Appointments should only be made on this form for children who are in the Reception cohort (Owls) and Years 2 to 4. Appointments are arranged at ten minute intervals and will take place in the school hall where children’s books can be viewed. We do hope that your children from Year 2 to 4 will accompany you as we feel that, in most cases children could be involved with the discussions. In an emergency, if you need to bring a younger child, there will be an unsupervised activity in the library.

Half term event

You should have received a leaflet from Sports Extra earlier this week about a half term holiday club on Thursday October 29th at our school.

Samaritan’s Purse

Last year we supported the charity ‘The Samaritan’s Purse’ which helps children in need in Europe through Operation Christmas Child. This proved very popular and we sent 41 shoe boxes for Christmas to children in Eastern Europe. The idea is that you follow the instructions on the leaflet attached to this newsletter and fill a shoe box with items for different aged children. Many of these items can be bought from some of the pound shops. This is a very worthwhile Christian charity and we hope that you may be able to join with us so that we can fill as many shoe boxes as possible. The filled shoe boxes need to be returned to school by Friday November 6th. Thank you in anticipation. We do understand that times are hard at the moment and would not want you to feel under pressure to take part in all our fund raising activities.
